The shop, in Hertford, the historic county town of Hertfordshire, is situated in Parliament Square near Hertford Castle. Owned and managed by Mark Pretlove and Gill Woodhouse, the shop has a large stock of fine quality antique maps, many on display in conservation mounts and examples in various framing styles.

Looking back to the entrance, the large map on the right of the door is the first large scale map of Hertfordshire dated 1766 by Andrews and Dury on permanent display and not for sale.

We specialise in English County maps and have several examples of all English Counties with Hertfordshire maps as our main interest. Framed topographical prints fill all available wall space on the two upper floors where we have a good general stock of secondhand books.
